SUMMARY:McMaster CPD: 3 Days In-Depth Palliative Care 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Division of Palliative Care\, McMaster University is hosting a 3 day in-depth Palliative Care conference on May 4\, 2026- May 6\, 2026. This event is in-person at Waterfront Events and Conference Centre\, 555 Bay Street North\, Hamilton\, Ontario.  Register Here. View the agenda Here. \nThe target audience is Health Care Professionals\, including physicians\, nurses\, spiritual care providers\, social workers and other disciplines who: \n\nProvide a palliative approach to care within various settings: primary care\, long-term care\, acute care\, home care\, and hospice.\nCompletion or plan to complete the Pallium LEAP (Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative and End-of-Life Care) program is encouraged but not mandatory.\n\nBy attending this activity\, participants will be able to: \n\nManage complex physical\, emotional\, ethical and social issues\, including pediatric to geriatric populations.\nDevelop enhanced collaborative practice skills and forge new inter-professional relationships.\nApply a palliative care approach in life-limiting illnesses\, including cancer\, cardiac\, renal\, respiratory\, dementia\, and other neurological disorders.\n\nThis activity has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 17.25 Mainpro+ Certified Activity.This program is approved as an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the MOC Program of the RCPSC. A maximum of 17.25 MOC Section 1 hours has been approved.
